Hi ILR, is the second bird a Juvenile Male Pheasant ? It looks odd without a tail

Still nice to get out an about no matter the hour ILR....The birds are always a bonus ;-)

Thanks Linda as I got into the car to come home it started to rain and started thunder and lightning
So just made it in time.

You can often see some interesting and calming sights early or late in the day, and a different atmosphere to the hustle and bustle of full daytime activities. So well done of getting such clear, evening photos.

Very kind of you to say so Mike thank you. Time went so quickly and it didn’t help when it started to thunder and lightening but I managed to reach the car and didn’t get wet. How are you Mike are you managing to get out ?

I find it fascinating when a storm is approaching how wildlife responds, often a frenzy, and then the calm, or as it is often described, "the lull before the storm"...

As for me, still fighting the battle, though new skin is slowly beginning to show, and the plethora of forthcoming consultant visits is finally getting under way. However, the new skin has been quickly replaced by more problems, so I'm not getting excited just yet, but it is looking more promising.
