Wonderful sequence with the deer reaching for the leaves and love the cheeky jackdaw too, great pics ILR, thanks for sharing.

They were eating the acorns Hazel, I have quite a few more photos of them and shall post them on here later

I see you have been straying into my area ILR although wr tend not to go that way at this time of year, too many folk about. Nice set of photos though,it is a good spot for getting near the deer

It was surprisingly quiet and I kept a reasonable distance away from the deer as not to disturb them.
It is a lovely place and well worth a visit. I have been visiting your area for most of my life Peter as our previous conversations with regards our interest in Angling. Now my main interest is wildlife and photography.

We are lucky enough to be able to just pop up there when the abbey has closed and the bulk of the visitors have left. The main lake gets some interesting birds dropping in and all the mature trees in the park are great for woodpeckers. It also a great spot to let the grandsons off the leash in comparative safety. I find it strange that many locals do not really appreciate what they have on their doorstep

Well it seems clear that you appreciate what’s on your doorstep Pete and are taking advantage of it and you paint a good picture of the wonderful delights that can be seen there.
