A wee visit up here and you will soon be glad to get back to the hot sunshine ILR....would blow you away here lol...thank goodness I can enjoy the sun in my summerhouse with the doors closed lol...slowly on the mend thanks ;-)

The Skell is the river running through Ripon itself while the Laver joins it just before Ripon. Both rise close together on the Nidderdale moors

Hi Linda I know you get the bad weather a lot of the time but the scenery is fabulous. I spent a holiday in fort William in 1976 and it was a fabulous summer and every day was gorgeous and the last time we were in Bonny Scotland was five years ago in Dunkeld. By the river Tay a beautiful place and a beautiful river we went in May and it was like January freezing but we loved it.
