My first post in the forum. Just moved to a place near Whaplode, Lincolnshire. I am now in the process of trying to photo catalogue all the birds that arrive. :-)
I am not the best photographer.

Just had to image this Robin having a sing song whilst perched on out hedge. The light is not right as I could not get a better angle on the bird. I just love listening to them sing. :-)

You could do a lot worse, I think that's a nice photo, depicting not just the robin, but the time of day and year, which will have that orange hue to it.
Ed D said:Thank you Mike. Late evening perched on our Laurel hedge. We see it there several times a day now. Both Sandra and I love listening to it's song and the sound of replies from other Robins nearby. :-)
You're welcome.
I feel there's too much emphasis on the perfect image today, not just wildlife, but life in general and not what things really are and look like. We as a species have become too materialistic and too far distanced from our roots.
Me, I love the morning and evening colours, and love getting photos of sun rises and sun sets, and very colourful those times of the day can be. There is a thread for sunrises and sunsets photos if you're interested, and it doesn't have to be the sun, it can be your robin for example, with that nice orange tint from the setting sun: "Sunrises and Sunsets 2021: share your photos here" feel free to share your photos.

Right at the limit of my lens I managed to capture a Robin bug hunting and a Goldfinch feasting on Dandelion seeds. :-)
Happy to see these birds back in the garden. Just waiting to see what else turns up. :-)
The limits of your lens or not, those photos are clear enough, even the midges around the robin are clear.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Managed to get this Wagtail in our garden today. I love these birds darting about catching insects in the grass.
Our lawn is not pristine in condition and deliberately so. We are trying to encourage wildlife back into the garden and so leave it to grow dandelions, buttercups, clover flowers etc.
Hope you like the pic. :-)
