I have just upgraded my Canon EOS camera and my old one always happily sat on my old Manfrotto 390 Junior tripod next to my study window. It has a perfectly good pan and tilt head which isn't interchangeable.
My new camera has a deeper body as it incorpurates a battery drive on the bottom. Sadly, I have found that with this body and lens combination, I can no longer use the locking lever to lock the removable Manfrotto plate that screws into the tripod mount on my long lens because it catches on the bottom of the camera body.
Does anyone have any tips for a reasonably priced tripod/head combination? The kit weighs 3kg.
Best wishes Chris
