Another great day watching at least 150 Waxwing.
On this occassion a trip to Billingham, about three miles from home.
Rattled off dozens of shots, here's a few of my favourites. I got a mixed bag of shots due to the weather and trying to take some agains't the sun.
Not a very good idea as all you get is a silhouette!!
I will add more pics when I get chance.

Nature Is Amazing - Let Us Keep It That Way

Why is there never enough time?
Thanks Mrs T & Ladybird for your kind words.
I have been fortunate to see Waxwings virtually everyday for the last week.
Trying to get even more shots, again the lighting and exposure was challenging between snow storms!
Today it was like Alfred Hitchcock the Birds, small flocks appearing then joining up to form a flock of several hundred.
The weather got the better of me and several of the shots were very distant, this first shot looked absolutely stunning on the LCD of my camera but it was pants on my computer!!
Buzz!!
WOW!!! That's flocks xx
Some more great shots, although I do love the first one of the second set - brilliant. You are lucky! not seen one yet but keeping my peepers at the ready - they're meant to be here but I'm obviously not hitting the right place.
Keep em coming Buzzard please as I think your photos are the closest I am going to get :-)

Kerry

Whilst some of us are waiting to see just one waxwing, you are seeing flocks of several hundred !!! Those flock photographs are fantastic to see. I am so grateful to be able to view your photographs. Thanks Buzzard.
Blimey Buzz, I'm speachless for once! The flying flock pics are just brilliant. Please send some to me.
Cheers, Linda.

Tidy photos of some tidy birds. None in Hereford as of yet but there are some in the surrounding towns so fingers crossed for the weekend when I can get out and have a look.
I'm not bald. I've just got ingrowing hair!
