Hi Ray, there were two reports on BirdGuides of waxwings in Sheffield and Blacka Moor this morning. Plenty of reports for N. Yorkshire though, so keep checking.

Still waiting to see one in "Donny" but they have been off Ecclesall Rd in Sheffield.Not keen on driving round Sheffield city centre (too busy for me) so i havn`t been.

JayneyB, there were some Wakefield and Bradford today, but I don't know if either are nearby to you.

OMG Brenda where?  I live between Badford and Leeds and Wakey isn't too far away either.

Sorry Jayne, my info is from BirdGuides and for some reason I cannot access BG Extra tonight ( which we pay for) I will keep trying.  Do you have a W. Yorks bird sightings site where people report their sightings. Try Google and you will recognise the sites better than me.

 i was told there were loads of people with tripods near Penistone at the weekend but not sure what they had seen.

 Seen autumn watch tonight showing waxwings in the isles above Scotland. They were that hungry they were feeding on the arms and a branch held by a young lad.

 if I do hear anything in my area I'll try and put it on the forum before I set OFF
