The Swifts have been gone from here since late July, seen a few groups going over on odd days during the past few weeks, to-day three went over about 4.30 (Norwich) just love to see them wheeling around the sky.

Hi There Semouraves,
Do reed buntings migrate? For a first time we had them breeding either in the hedge of the garden or in the neighbouring uncultivated field edge but have not seen them since early August. - Claire

Hi,
Reed buntings are resident, but birds also winter here from further north.
One Swift in Tonbridge, Kent, today. Also about 50 House Martins.

We had about ten house martins flying over today catching the flies and slowly they have dwindled down to two so I guess they will all be gone soon.
