Hi s2dmo
your lucky i've not seen a goldcrest.
Hey farmer, farmer, put away the D.D.T now. Give me spots on my apples, but leave me the birds and the bees, please!
hi janet,
i hadnt seen one either untill a couple of days ago, they are tiny :) and very well camoflaged in the trees , there is a small wood only a few hundred meters away from my back garden . and i am astonished to how many species are living in there . more and more of them are visiting my garden . i made a bird cake myself and thats all it seems to be eating :)
Hi s2dmo, and welcome to the forum.
Congratulations on your goldcrest. Never seen one in my garden, and you are right, they are so tiny. You must be doing things right to be attracting the woodland birds. Looking forward to hearing more about your birds.
Cheers, Linda.

Ooooh! You have a Goldcrest! Me too, lol!
They don't stay around for long and tend to disappear with the cold, but they like suet, especially the buggy ones. As long as you have suet somewhere it'll be more than happy :o)
