I've been getting quite a few visits from Sparrowhawks recently.
This one I've shown before and is definitely a male.
This one which I've also posted before is, I'm sure, a female.
This one has just visited. I only managed to get a brief view before it flew off with its prey.
Initially, I thought the head looked like a male but there's no rufous cheek and the back looks brown and rather mottled. It also looks quite large so I'm now veering towards it being a female. What do you think, male or female?

The first picture is of a male, the other two look like female, male is a second year, female is also second year, lovely pictues,
I agree - 1 male 2 females. The colours have it.
:-)
Seriously thinking about trying harder!
