I wonder if it is a baby goldfinch but isn't it late (pic taken on 10.01.2010) in the year for baby finches? Or is it just an albino of some sort?
This one baffels me ...
If it aint broken, dont fix it !.... all good things come to those who wait !
It would be of great help If you reduce the brightness and touch up the contrast, on your photo software if you have any! The picture is too bright.
For viewing or photography right place right time is everything. I'd rather be in the right place with poor kit than have the best kit and be in the wrong place.
The photo is not very clear but judging by the yellow wing bar I would say it's a greenfinch possibly a female.
Hope this helps

I'm going for Leucistic Greenfinch on this one.
"Feed the birds, tuppence a bag" Mary Poppins
Female greenfinch with the leucism effect I would say.
Young goldfinches look similar to the adults but without the red on the heads.
Hi,
yups looks like aGreenfinch - Note the size of the bill and the yellow edge to the alula- it would be black on agoldfinch :)
