I live on the south coast of England and am a keen birdwatcher. However in my garden over the last few days I have seen a group of birds I cannot identify.
They are in a group of about 7 and are the size of a thrush/blackbird. They are grey/brown with a white chest, with red on the upper chest . I have no idea what they are and any books I have cannot identify them. Would anyone else have seen them or know what they are.
Thank you
I would say a Fieldfare, which is indeed a Thrush. they are winter visitors, and are popping up all over the country, driven into gardens by the harsh weather. Here's one from my garden today :Is this your mystery bird?
