Song Thrush?

A new visitor to my garden today. I think it could have been a song thrush but could do with your opinions.

He was about blackbird size. Brown upper parts, buff coloured eye brows and throat, which lightened to cream as it went downwards to chest and belly. Dark spots from face downwards, which were possibly v-shaped on his chest. His upper beak was dark and his lower beak was yellow. He had pink legs. He was up in a tree on his own (apart from a few starlings and sparrows), looking round. He flew down to the ground and pecked at some food for a while, landed on my Christmas tree, which is currently on the patio, then on a shrub, then back to ground for some more pecking before flying to a neighbouring roof. He was then chased off by a blackbird.

I did take a photo of him in the tree but it was too far away for my little camera and I was too busy trying to ID him through my binns!

Cheers, Linda.
