I saw it in my Garden a few times throughout the day, I managed to get a couple, or three photos of it.
It was alone, and eating heartily from my new bird table and the ground, sparrows eventually chased it away...
It has a slightly mottled breast, sort of black band from beak straight down the throat. When it flew up it had those white banded tail feathers, bit like a chaffinch tail, like a fan.
Also had a slight 'tail bobbing' action. I have never see one like it before, garden or otherwise.
Ive blown up the pics.....
Any idea..?
LOL Squirrel, but you do have red kites that circle your house. Don't be greedy!
Cheers, Linda.

Ahhhhh, and I've also got a lovely little visitor that comes into my yard, right up to the back door - but it isn't a pied wagtail LOL
The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!

Is this a riddle? LOL!
My bunting:
and my wagger:
I have better pictures of the wagtail, but I'm busy recovering from accidentally deleting pretty much every photo on my hard disk on Tuesday, so haven't wanted to get much more from the camera!
A closed mouth gathers no foot.

LOL Have a look in My Gallery........
WOW, Squirrel. That makes up for not seeing all the birds that we've been eulogising about. And so tame too. Well done.

Hi Squirrel,
You've kept that quiet!!!! (Or have I missed a posting about him?)
Wow ... you must be over the moon. How long has he been coming? And he looks so tame. He is absolutely beautiful, and such fabulous photos. Congratulations.
You are now a very important member of the WAGS along with Buzzard seeing as you two have the posh variety.
Hi Maisie,
You are also invited to join the WAGS, and you also have reed buntings. Brilliant, and super photos. Congratulations and well done.
Great photographa Squirrel. Would love to have that visitoe to my back door.
Thanks TeeJay, Sparrow and Brenda. He's becoming a regular. I was about to attempt a video of him just now but my little-used camcorder ran for two minutes and then the battery ran out. Battery now on charge - wannabee-filmer cursing and hoping he returns tomorrow!
