Hi I noticed these birds in my garden this morning eating berries off the tree, i had three in total and was just hoping somone could tell me what they are. How can i encourage these little birds to come back.
All the Best Paul

Still a few goldfinches here on Tracy Island but not coming into the garden.
Thank you for welcoming me to the forum. It was not the fact i was gloating, but i have never seen these beautiful birds in the garden.
I went out yesterday and bought food and feeders and even a bird box that a blue tit had a peep in this morning.
Hope they all come back tomorrow for the kids to see.
All the best Paul

Hi Paul, I hope that you realise the comments made were in jest and I hope that no offence has been made!

Nature Is Amazing - Let Us Keep It That Way
Hi Buzz
I did realise it was all said in jest, no offence at all. Lets hope the Goldfinches all return with the rest of the family tomorrow for a fantastic group photo..
Cheers Paul
I do hope so Paul.
One of my missing goldfinches turned up this morning. Just one. I hope your kids see them, and if you put your new feeders in a suitable place it won't be long before they and all the other birds find them, although it can take a few days for them to work out they are food and not harmful. I look forward to your photos.
Cheers, Linda.

I only had one to start with.....
The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!

I shall be more careful in future in how I say things - cheers! :-) Regards Kerry http://www.flickr.com/photos/kezmo6310/
