Reading another post about Wagtails has made me question the ID of some of my own Wagtail photos. I'd be grateful for expert opinions on these. Thanks.

The last of the black-and-whites looks like White Wagtail with the mid-grey back and clean white flanks, the others are Pieds. The next set ('Grey or Black-headed?') are all Greys (the first two are adult males with the black throats), and the last two are indeed Yellows.

Thanks Aiki , I appreciate you taking the time to check them for me.
Nice set of images Galatas :)
BTW, black headed is a subspecies of yellow. To ID not back colour and throught in males. Crown is also pure black. Look out for yellow subspecies from now on till around june

For the record . 9 & 10 are the same bird. It turned up in my garden last November. I live at least a mile from the nearest water.
11 & 12 I assume are also the same bird that visited again in mid January this year.
Hi, As far as i am concerned, i thought there was the Pied Wagtail/Grey Wagtail/Yellow the latter, which is becoming fewer and fewer in number, so they, who ever they are, have decided to call the Grey Wagtail looking like the yellow, with grey back, the Yellow. Confused!!!??? The Black Headed is quite raw as i have found out!? When identifying my video, i became suspisious when, i picked out a white line over eye. If they have still remained the same, i believe yours are Pied and and Grey, maybe the one with a yellow back could be the Yellow.Good Luck
Hi again, 1-6 is Pied and 7 - 14 is Grey and your last two are Yellow, need to put them together with my one which i thought was a Black Headed Wagtail, but now certain well 85% certain its a male Yellow Wagtail, hope this helps!
