I'm back again folks, many thanks confirming the Sedge Warbler. I spent the day at Martin Mere yesterday, to see the Pink Footed Geese, at least 30,000 there at the moment, great spectacle and lots of other stuff there to, see the pics on my blog site. But I took the photo below and was unsure at the time what it was, I believe it is a female Pintail, can any 'Duck experts' please clarify? Thanks Gary

I would agree with Lucybob and say it is a female pintail the juvenile is similar looking to the female but the pattern is not as well developed.

Going by the 'longer' tail it is a female Pintail. No other ducks have a tail that pointed or body colouration as your picture shows

Great photo. I've not seen one in the flesh (so to speak) before so thanks for posting that pic. The feather patterns on her are beautiful.
The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!

Beautiful Pinsharp photo and I would agree with everyone else that with those beautiful shell markings on the body it certainly is a Pintail.
