Hi everyone.
Having a second go at uploading photos from a previous thread I posted asking for positive I.D of these birds.
First two I thought were warblers maybe reed/willow,third male linnet and fourth male or female yellowhammer.

Well done Viv, you did it. Not sure about the first one - but I find warblers really difficult. There is something about the second one that says it is not a reed warbler, the pose does not seem right , it might be a juv. whitethroat but I am wondering is it is a juv. bearded tit. Number 3 I would go for juv. Linnet and 4 is a yellowhammer. Hopefully one of the experts
will come along soon.

Sorry its took so long to reply ,only been to work(part time),soon got to take my son to football training and then make tea,there's not enough hours in the day.

Seaman def not a reed bunting,in wrong habitat,and only goldfinch size.
Andy my eldest son (also blessed with agreat name like yourself) put the photos on for me,he made it look so easy(and it probably is really-but not to a novice like me),he even cropped and enlarged them.
Will have a practice of uploading later on when i've got a bit more time,so fingers crossed.Been browsing this forum for six months and always wished I could contribute more.Got loads of photos I've always wanted to share with you good people,so once I get going ,there'll be no stopping me.
Will go with willow,reed, linnet and male YH for bird IDs.

Don't know if you know this, but you can usually set picture size on your digital camera - smaller ones are quicker to up/download, which can be handy.

Hi Pete,JD & Alan.
Didn't know that about reed buntings,always presumed they were found near water,or that you can set the picture size on the camera.Hubby will have to look into that for me,he's more learned than me.with cameras and now I'm going to trymy very first upload all by myself in a new post if nothing appears soon you know I've failed.

Viv,in my case I leave camera settings to the wife,always best to leave it to the experts !!
