Over half term one of my Scouts rescued a drowning bird. However, we were all unsure what it was (other than very wet). Best guess so far is a young chaffinch. Does anyone know what this is? I would really like to be able to tell the Scout what it was the rescued.

That is a young Chaffinch, similar to the female but with yellow gapes
