We saw a small black bird with a very long tail. It looked like a Dartford Wabler but was quite round and glossy black. It was seen on the South Dorset Coast between Hengisbury Head and Boscombe. Lots of gorse, etc on the cliff face and lots of Stonechat and a few Dartford Wablers.
Any ideas?
Black Redstart perhaps?
Did you see any red under the tail?

Thank you but it was sitting on a lamppost for a while so we were looking up at it. I don’t think it had any other colour but quite shiny black and I think it was rounder (if that makes sense)…
