I have a few birds coming to my bird feeders that I am having trouble identifying.
They look similar to a kingfisher, but their colours are a lot duller and no where near as vibrant.
Any ideas please as to what they might be?
Many thanks.
Nuthatch perhaps
(Pardon the Scottish Accent)
That was my guess too. Like this?

I was looking for a photo in my gallery so thanks for your Tony
Many thanks for your replies. A nuthatch was my first thought too, but these are more kingfisher shaped and size, with smaller area of orange and more blue area. The colours are more similar in shade to a nuthatch but they are more kingfisher shaped with the longer beak too.
I’ve been trying to get a picture, but I’m not having much luck at the moment. I will try again tomorrow
Are you in the UK?
Yes, North Devon
Not likely to see a Kingfisher on feeders as they eat small fish & acquatic invertebrates. They are similar size to a robin but weigh almost twice as much according to web search. I agree with TJ & likely to be a Nuthatch. Maybe try get a photo next time you see it on the feeder.

Thank you so much. I will post a picture when I manage to get one.
Very intrigued to see the photos of these birds. Don't worry about the quality, an ID is possible from most pics.
Sorry very grainy - but the pictures confirm them being Nuthatch. They look so different in real life! Thank you all for your help
