Identify this Hello. I found this enormous pupa under the compost when emptying a plant pot yesterday. Any ideas what it is? I have put it in a small plant pot covered in compost and tucked it into a dry hedge for the winter above where the hedgehog can get to it.

I was tempted to think leatherjacket pupae, but some species of moth pupae can look very similar.

I would hazard a guess at one of the Hawkmoth but not able to go further than that
