We’re out in the country in Cornwall, so I wouldn’t think anyone would be around.
It’s the follow up sound after the initial noise, which makes me think it’s some kind of animal.
That sounds very creepy to me! I agree with WendyBartter that it sounds human - that is until the very end bit where there's a bit like a buzzing of a bee?

it’s the humming sort of noise after that makes me think it was some sort of animal call (albeit strange) .
