I spotted this bird whilst out dog walking (Dudley, West Midlandsl
I couldn't see any rings on its legs, but I doubt it is wild is it.
Can anybody tell me?
Many thanks!
Is it a dark morph Montagu's Harrier? Face looks a bit harrierish.
Looks like classic Harris's Hawk to me.

There's a Falconry Centre not far from where you are that has Harris Hawk although you say this bird carried no rings or jesses; may be worth sending them a photo of it and where you saw it.

Definite Harris Hawk. A fairly common falconers bird, but the lack of jesses is interesting. British Birds Magazine rare birds reports record very occasional wild breeding by escaped Harris Hawks, so I guess it is possible that's what this bird is a result of.
Great find, thanks for sharing.
