Calling repeatedly in this pattern then stops, then starts up again. Starts in the evening and continues through the night. Heard in Dorset.
I'm afraid your video is not loading. This is probably because it is too large. There is a limit of about 5Mb for the direct posting of videos (and photos). Unless you can reduce the size of your video the best bet is to post it on YouTube and paste the link to it on this thread. Good luck.

I downloaded it to my PC and listened, it sounds like a Greater Spotted Woodpecker. Depending upon where you heard it there's a chance it could be a Lesser Spotted Woodpecker. Their repetitive calls are very similar to one another
