Bird id

Well a very interesting response. I am familiar with Dunnocks and I saw a couple on the day skulking in the undergrowth. This bird appeared brighter and bolder and I thought at the time slightly larger (more meadow pipit size). However it was only there a few seconds and I concede the markings of the dunnock on your photographs - if not quite the colouration - do match up. Thanks all for your time.
