Santa’s reindeer calling??

Hi everyone, I’m new to this site but need your expert help. We live in a rural part of Surrey and haven’t heard a call quite like this before. Doesn’t sound like the usual muntjac or fox - any ideas?? It was 01:30 on Christmas Day so we wondered if it was rudolf in the field next to us calling for Santa to hurry up delivering presents!

Thanks, I did listen through a load of YouTube example calls last night but not convinced it’s roe deer. It was a clear whoop rather than a bark. A couple of locals have suggested an owl - we have barn and tawny here but nothing that calls like that. Still a mystery….!

Well if I heard that I'd call it a fox - they have a wide range of vocalisations and certainly could make those noises, but I've never heard a fox here in Cambridge outside the summer months so I wouldn't be sure.
