Okay, I have been doing a bit of searching and found this picture of Waxwings. Many pictures with them in flight, their tail is spread but not always, as in this one. So could be? The other thing is, here there is a distinct dark area under the breast and on the underwings, as is on yours, when zoomed, so again could be? Hopefully someone may be able to do some tekkie thing, and blow yours up. Then we will know if you have found yet another newbie!!??

That picture does not show up as good when zoomed, as it did on Google. You can't really see what I mean, it's too blurred
