Two images merged together, taken approximately 1 week apart. I know the bird on the left is a Buzzard, it has been suggested the bird on the right is a young Buzzard?

  • It's a pale morph buzzard. Buzzards don't have a huge plumage difference between juveniles and adults, but there is a great deal of variation between birds, ranging from some even paler than your bird on the right to birds darker than your 'typical' buzzard on the left.
  • Hi

Juveniles have solidly dark outer primaries, oval 'wrist patches', dark-looking well-barred secondaries contrasting with paler under-primaries, a pale area in the greater underwing coverts and regularly spaced barring in the tail.
