Saw this wonderful Spotted Lantern Fly on our balcony whole cruising from Boston to Halifax on the North East Canadian coastline last week. September 2023. Just thought I would share the image! Apparently native to China and Vietnam but now invasive.

Major plant pest and disease vector - I believe there is a destroy on sight and notification throughout the USA on this sap sucker - it's a generalist and appears in massive numbers - not something that we want to see coming into Britain

Rather like the Box moth in being attractive but deadly!
