I think this is a Fulmar, but not seen similar spotty pattern on head in any other Fulmar photos. Can anyone confirm.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

They also fly quite stiffly in comparison to gulls. I think the marbled effect of their feathers is beautiful.
