Hello. I have a robin nesting on one side of my wall basket. It's quite sheltered, but there is a drain pipe nearby. I have my bean cage covered in plastic,in front of the nest. There is a plastic liner in the wall basket which was just tucked in at the back. We had rain last night,so not sure if the liner came out and blew over the nest,or whether she pulled it over the nest. Anyway,I taped it back while she was away, this afternoon. She was watching me from the tree nearby and flew over and went back in the nest. She has five eggs in there. Did I do the right thing,or would she prefer it left so the nest is covered over all the time. Should I get food for her,or will she manage to find it in woodland at the back of the garden, thanks.

I would ask this question on another post as the previous question was answered and verified.
