Saw this gull on saturday (13th May) on Hayling Island Beach is it possibly identifiable?

My guess would be anything out of herring gull, lesser black-backed gull or great black-backed gull

I'm not to sure, but I think juvenile Great Black Backed because of size, eyering and black beak.

I think it's a young herring gull. It doesn't look quite brutal enough to be a great black-backed. Their expression is very distinctive.

Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
