Bit of a sad request this. We have recently moved into a new house and have a large mirror in the garden. The other night we found this (see pictures) lying next to it having flown into it and cracked it's skull.

My partner thought it was a sparrow hawk at first but after looking at pictures I thought it looked more like a peregrine falcon (the blue/grey colours). I'm now second guessing myself so would like some more informed opinions. We live in NW the suburbs of York if that helps.
Unfortunately the local fox took the bird after we went to bed so these are the only photos I have.
