Hi, I went to the south of Spain recently and took some photos while I was there. There were a few birds from them that I couldn't identify (whether from lack of knowledge or bad photos) and was wondering if someone could help to identify them?
The first ones are pretty blurry which doesn't help, but I was wondering if this could be an eagle of some sort? It doesn't look like a buzzard but I don't really have any clue aside from that!
The next ones are of a gull - I was thinking either Lesser-Black Backed or Yellow-Legged?
This is also a gull, but a different individual than the one above.
I really don't know which species this could be.
The last ones I'm fairly sure are sparrowhawks (the last picture is a different individual than the first two picures).
I appreciate any help you can give! Thanks!
The raptor looks like a Short-toed Eagle to me.
I'm not very good with gulls but I would opt for Yellow-legged Gulls. The plumage doesn't look dark enough for Lesser Black-backed. Could be wrong though.
At a guess the warbler is probably a Chiffchaff. Many overwinter in Spain.
