Can someone help to ID this dead bird found by garden cabin window please? I thought female blackcap but not sure about darker markings on breast.

I believe its a female Blackcap..perhaps someone with more experience than me can enlighten you on the feather colouring....most folk think crows are all black but when is blowing you can see white feathers deep within might be that Blackcaps have dark feathers below their light ones......poor Mrs BC :-(

Thanks I haven’t seen one in my garden before. Am I correct in thinking it is unusual to see one in November in the Highlands?
