I've just seen this grey, robin-sized bird on my garden fence, on the south coast of Sussex. The colour was solid all over (although I wasn't able to see its tail feathers as it didn't turn around while I was watching), no speckles or stripes.
This is not a bird I've ever seen before and I'm wondering if anyone is able to tell me what it is, please? I usually only see starlings, pigeons, gulls, robins and sparrows in my garden.
