When the pop-up box appears, select 'File upload' in the first dropdown, and delete the measurements (unless you want a pic the size of a postage stamp). Hit browse and select the image you want to insert.

That should do it. I'm sure there's a maximum file upload size -- if so, either edit the dimensions to something reasonable (eg 1600 x 1200) or resize your pic here: https://squoosh.app/.
