Can anyone help to identify this bird, please? It was seen in Libya in March 2006, most probably in Zawilah which is some hundreds of km south of Triploi, deep in the Sahara.
Possibly a male Spanish Sparrow. They do occur in N. Africa. Not sure what other species of sparrow occur in Libya
