Hi, on the first day of our holiday just outside Stowe-in-the-Wold in the Cotswolds, 2 weeks ago, I spotted this bird on a fence post in the fields outside our accommodation. No water nearby...., in the middle of the country in October - could this be an osprey? They are not the clearest of pictures because of the distance - if not an osprey, (and I cant believe our luck if it is), can you identify for me, please.
