Hi all!
I recently rescued a pigeon I found on the street - it has a lump in its wing and had a mouth full of blood. After a vet check up, I’ve been told the lump may be an old fracture so it may never fly again, and it’s split its tongue in two.
Has anyone had any experience with this? I have a cage set up for it, with a low perch and good dishes, but it does spend more time out of the cage with me than in it as it’s not a massive cage. I’m noticing it seems to struggle eating as well, it can’t seem to pick up seed so any advice around this would be appreciated. Pic below. Could anyone give me any info on this bird at all please? Age, breed, whether its beak is supposed to be hooked like that etc.
