Male or Female Jay??

Question

Hello, 
 just picked up a Jay on the cam and wondered if it was easy to tell the difference between the two?

We used to have Jays visiting daily in our previous garden and the one and only time I knew for certain which was male and female was when the the male courtship fed the female ! (male on the left)

You can only tell the difference between both sexes if they are together - and then you'd still have to be pretty good at sizing them. 
 
It's definitely not easy to tell the difference.
