hello all,
i saw a bird singing on top of a (suburban, near nature reserve) house yesterday evening and think it ought to be obvious what it was, but somehow I don't know! Light brown above, pale buff belly, greyish breast, light brown head. Song was the same pitch and tone as a dunnock, but the melody was regular – a shortish (3 sec) phrase repeated once. Pretty sure it's the same as a bird I had trouble with the other day, singing at the top of a bush at Crossness nature reserve... but perhaps that muddies the waters!
Any ideas? thanks!
Pete
