Re the Whimbrel - it's hard to judge a lone bird as Whimbrels are smaller than the similar Curlew, but it looks to have the shorter bill that generally curves nearer the tip and you can just make out the darker cap so Whimbrel is a good shout - and its location is good too - but Curlew bill length can vary and it seems to have the more slender appearance of a Curlew hmmm

I couldn't call it.
