Stuart - try and familiarise yourself with the calls of birds as in this instance you can hear the Lapwing call and it is a very distinctive and individual call.

But well done on spotting it and enjoying its acrobatic flying skills :)

As Seymour says it is a Lapwing doing its display / territorial act,a fascinating bird to watch. We watched the first of the chicks on our local reserve this week and the parents are very protective
