Landed on car in banwell yesterday? Any offers?

Judging by its shape and feet - I'd say it's either a leucistic Dove or show Pigeon.

But that's only a guess.

Thanks it was about the size of a large finch - possible zebra finch anyone??

Although it's not got leg rings it does look like an escapee, it is always worth checking local lost and found Facebook pages to see if anyone is missing it. I would go more fancy Pigeon than finch but the fact it landed on the car also gives the feel of a bird used to humans

Just shows hard difficult it can be with sizing a lone bird - the car be a small car or an SUV.

And I am not an expert on captive finches but Pete is right - it is a White Zebra Finch.

But well done everyone as sometimes you need a lot of opinions to find the right answer :)

Without knowing the make, model and year of manufacture of the car, its difficult to give an indication of scale, however, often, not always, from the roof channel to the side over the door is often around 3-4 ins, or 7.6 - 10.16 cms.
