Is this a garganey?

Is this a Garganey, if so are they rare don’t thing I have ever seen one before?

It looks like a garganey to me - according to rspb it is a 'scarce and very secretive breeding duck in the UK' so I guess it is quite rare

Yes it is a Garganey , one of our few summer migrating ducks. We have two pair fairly local to us, they are fairly rare people will travel to see them
