I have seen what looks like a Chaffinch except where it is red around the eye on a Chaffinch all the head was a dark grey, does anyone out there have any idea what this is, Thanks for your help

It could have been a female chaffinch check the above link and click on illustration 2?

Thankyou for your reply, but when I looked again it did have red around the eyes, so it is a male chaffinch after all
