Is It a Skylark?

I'm saying Woodlark again
There is a sufficiency in the world for man's need but not for man's greed.
I'm with littleowl, I say skylark.
There is something new to learn everyday...

I think Skylark too
The reason is that there is a distinctive Plume showing on top of the birds head
All Larks have that Plume and it is a giveaway.
It certainly tells us what they are thinking
The bird is on the larger side, and Skylarks are bigger than most Songbirds

If this was photographed in your garden then I am VERY envious! I have heard loads of skylarks singing but only ever seen a couple - and that was last year in the Cors Caron Wildlife Park. You lucky, lucky, LUCKY thing!
Best wishes

They fly over my garden and sing all day but they never land in it- I took this on a large open grassy field at a seaside chalet park . It was with Meadow pipits, pied wagtails and wheatears.
Thanks Seymouraves,I am glad I got that one right.
