Hi all, I wonder if someone could id this wader for me please. I have looked at my book but can't make up my mind what it could be. You can't see it in the photo but the bird had orange legs.
Thanks
PS Have noted the problems people have had posting photos so hope this one shows.
EDIT: Have edited it and reposted as the photo is a no show
Regards
Kerry

Hi Kezmo,
Welcome back.
Sorry, your pic is missing.
Cheers, Linda.

Caught your photo before it disappeared - lucky me!!!
Looks like a little stint to me but I am wrong 9 times out of 10 with waders. ***-on Seymouraves!!!

Hi Sparrow, (big big wave)
Have reposted the photo so perhaps you can see it now. I've actually got a few others but I don't think I shall bother while this problem is ongoing.

I'm sorry Kezmo, I still can't see it. I wouldn't have a cat in hells chance of making the ID anyway, so no loss to you!!!
Hi, I can't see your picture either, but like sparrow would be no use to you. Sorry
Sarah
I've learned that I still have a lot to learn...

I can see your photo now. They seem to mysteriously come and go.
I would say it's a turnstone, probably an adult in winter plumage but it could just be a juvenile. I'm not sufficiently expert to tell the difference.
It looks like a turnstone to me - the dark breast gives it away.
I can see it now. Beautiful picture Kezmo, well done. It's a bird!
